challenges, and develop strategies to cope with life’s ups and downs. Whether you’re
struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship issues, counselling

Counselling is suitable for anyone seeking support, guidance, or personal growth. If you’re
feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about how to navigate life’s challenges, counselling
can provide a supportive space to explore your options and make positive changes.
Counselling focuses on emotional and mental health, helping you process feelings and overcome challenges.
Life coaching helps you set goals, create action plans, and achieve personal or professional growth.
Mentoring offers guidance and support based on experience, helping you navigate life transitions and build confidence
No referral is needed. You can self-refer at any time. Contact me via email or my contact form to get started.
Standard sessions are approximately 60 minutes. Sessions can be longer by arrangement.
Some sessions may be eligible for funding options such as WINZ, Gumboot Friday, Public
Trust and EAP.
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to offer
your session time to someone else and avoid cancellation fees.
Your first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your concerns, and set
goals for your counselling journey. I’ll explain how counselling works and answer any
questions you have.
The number of sessions depends on your individual goals, challenges, and progress. Some
clients see positive changes in a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support
over time.
Yes. All sessions are confidential, in line with the NZAC Code of Ethics. Confidentiality may
only be broken if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law.
Progress is assessed collaboratively, based on your goals, emotional wellbeing, and personal
growth. Regular check-ins ensure your counselling sessions are effective and meaningful.
It’s normal to feel nervous when starting counselling. I provide a welcoming, non-
judgemental environment where you can feel safe to share at your own pace.
Yes. Finding the right counsellor is important. If you feel we aren’t the right fit, I can support
you in finding someone who better meets your needs.
You may bring a support person for specific sessions. Please discuss this beforehand so we
can plan appropriately.
Yes. I work with individuals from 15-100.
Yes. I provide counselling and mentoring for parents, and families to support
communication, conflict resolution, and stronger relationships.
While I provide ongoing support, I do not offer a crisis service. If you are in immediate
danger or need urgent help, please contact 111 or a 24/7 helpline such as Lifeline (0800 543
354) or Youthline (0800 376 633).
